The Learning Space Toolkit enables you to envision needs for space, technology, and services and then plan for how best to meet those needs. The Integration section contains tools and resources for doing so holistically by helping you make four connections – (1) connections between the needs you’ve identified and the proposed solutions, (2) connections among the space, furniture, technology, and services you’ve designed, (3) physical connections between related or adjacent spaces to “put the pieces together,” and (4) connections among the key stakeholders involved in planning and implementing a learning space.

This section helps make these connections by providing guiding principles and resources to facilitate the integration of the different aspects of planning and sustaining a learning space. It contains a variety of tools you can use to bring together the different aspects of a learning space or series of spaces, including an extended workshop and activities; an integrated budgeting tool for space, technology, and services/staffing; and an integration blueprint to get space, technology, and services/staffing design criteria all on the same page – either as an initial effort or later on the process to bring together information from different tools to check for alignment, identify gaps, and plan holistically.
